“Yes, My Dark Goddess!”

Here are some tentative results from my research into these mostly black stones during the period when the sun was in Scorpio this year; October 24 to November 23, 2018. At the same time I was studying the impact of two “new” Hadean dwarf planets in my natal chart. I was trying to interpret these crystals and the “plutinos” as keys to experiencing the various levels of the Mayan underworlds. Typically I would combine readings from my crystals books or astrology charts with dreams incubated with the individual crystals close to my knees. This would elicit responses mostly from the etheric and astral planes – so this research effort could more easily be combined with the study of elementals that is a part of my postulant training.

Shungite

For Scorpio energies from early Scorpio (1* Scorpio to 15* Scorpio --e.g. before the sun gets to the power point of Samhain); Cauda Draconis energy. Shungite permits water/emotional purification and cleansing. Shungite corresponds to the kidney portion of the kidney meridian while the stones corresponding to 15* Scorpio to 30* Scorpio are resonating with the adrenal glands. Shungite combines easily with Selenite (early Cancer) and Sugilite (early Pisces) for that Albedo and White Goddess moving-water, loving-energy experience. By the way, Love is the universal solvent.

Jet

Can be used to open to psychic experiences and to assist the quest for spiritual experiences. Helps you to see the possible pitfalls in a situation and come up with constructive solutions. Makes you more cynical – but that could be just what you need for the Underworlds. Affinity for Mercury as underworld psychopomp. Snarky Hermes! Move to the 4th harmonic underworld; the National underworld; the “cross-road”.

Obsidian

Black obsidian corresponds to Orcus, one of the dwarf planets discovered in this century. Orcus is your grim reaper planet. So … Santa Muerte, Azrael, Yama. Skeletons-and-scythes R Us. Snakes and kundalini shaktis also -- this is an emotionally cold underworld featuring a relentless drive towards mental silence and solitude. The truest gift of Orcus is spiritual integrity and authenticity. Orcus resonates to the 6th harmonic so it tractor-beams the 2nd harmonic (Familial underworld) and 3rd harmonics (tribal underworld) easily. Orcus also skips past the Planetary underworld to interface directly with the Galactic underworld. Are you ready for the cold isolation of the deep space between the stars? Gentler versions of Obsidian do exist – mahogany Obsidian and snowflake Obsidian are examples.

Black Tourmaline

Corresponds with the classical God of Hades: Pluto and the planet Pluto. Has a strong link with the Familial/Clanocentric underworld (the 2nd harmonic) and the hunter-gatherer cultures of the Neolithic era. Black tourmaline can be a key for eliciting the issues of the bio-survival circuit; eating disorders, dependency issues, both social and chemical – and addictions of all sorts. Here, also, are the rivers of the underworld – both of remembering and of forgetting. You may encounter the axolotl - the underworld fish-guide or perhaps the dark fae. Hopefully, you survive the sea monster. “Wait…I’m not ready!… Is that a zombie?”

Tektite

Tektite vibrates with the dwarf planet Ixion. Typically, there is a lot of iron in tektites. Ixion is the bad-boy, passionate zealot of the 3rd harmonic underworld. This is the so-called “Tribal Underworld” of the Patriarchy. Lucky you. You might meet a fundamentalist sort of devil. You might meet Hecate’s dog. A lot of anger and aggression issues are embedded, and obsessions that trigger fight-or-flight responses live here. This is the underworld where the authoritarian personality and the drive for conformity rules.

A combination for “uniting and separating” underworld energies:

Lapis Lazuli (late Taurus), Malachite (late Libra), Amazonite (late Sagittarius)

This combination helps to introspectively analyze your shadow side while staying anchored in the Taurus/Venus pole of the Taurus-Scorpio syzygy. In this story, Inanna returns from the Underworld – she may learn a lot but perhaps she does not get what she wants.

A combination for “dissolving and coagulating” underworld energies:

Malachite (late Libra), a Scorpio stone (such as obsidian, black tourmaline, or tektite), Amazonite (late Sagittarius). This combination is designed for dealing with Rubeus elemental energies (think Page of Cups). This combination helps to attract and manifest (re-experience, actually) an aspect of your shadow self which needs healing. In this story, Persephone and Pluto have a child in the underworld. The child has a possible gift for you – but this child has had a hard life – so loving and accepting this child may not be easy.

Malachite

Takes your conscious mind into a place where it develops the inner resources to understand and negotiate the underworlds. Corresponds to Persephone as underworld queen; i.e. not the Maiden. Cauda Draconis, the Queen of Swords – not Puella, the girl. Also corresponds to Chalchihuitlicue - the Mayan jade skirt goddess who rules the underground waters.

Turquoise

A stone from early Sagittarius. Able to dissolve Scorpio energies. Helps to recover from overwhelming shadow experiences. Breathe! Turquoise takes you from Hades and places you on Olympus. Have a safe trip! Have a sample of Turquoise ready. Don’t forget to ground and to get physical exercise ASAP.
